My Blythe Kyle with miniature bear Okuribi made by me.
Still life photo practice/shadows & lighting. Doll is made by Takara toy company in Japan.

:star: Advice please:
No matter what I've tried this bear refuses to have his photo taken clearly, he looks nothing like this in person ): light or dark backgrounds, several lights, indoor outdoor, the result is always poor. I hoped that my Blythe Kyle would help since her hair is also red, but no. His fur is still wrong, too shadowed and the face can't be seen.

Any advice from experienced photographers would be much appreciated.

I absolutely ADORE all the bears you make!!!

Plus, I think it's clever how the blythe's hair colour and the bear's colour matches. I also love how you set it up - a very cute pose!

Thanks for the thoughtful comment Piko! It's really rare to get more than a one word comment on DA.

Do you only have one light source?

For this one I used only one light source ^^ the doll's face is so shiny that even when lights are in a soft box, or set far away, each light source will show in a reflection on her big ol forehead.
